Fishing Charters
Hilton Head Outfitters offers a variety of exciting fishing charters inshore on our lagoon waterway and offshore out of Shelter Cove Marina. These fishing charters are fun for beginner fishermen up to amateur fishermen. The captains are knowledgeable and provide an entertaining and unforgettable journey. Be sure to experience Hilton Head Island fishing on one of these adventures while visiting and explore the diverse marine life the island has to offer.
Hilton Head Outfitters has a full selection of fishing equipment for every type of fisherman. We carry fishing rods from G.Loomis, Shimano, Berkley, Daiwa and many more as well as rod and reel combos that are lined and ready to go. Along with hooks, weights, jig heads and leaders, we have a large selection of Berkley Gulp and other artificial baits. We can do special orders for a variety of fishing equipment if we do not have it in stock.

Palmetto Lagoon Fishing Charters
Try some of the best fishing on Hilton Head Island - all while in the flat, calm waters of the Palmetto Dunes Resort lagoon system. A nursery to a variety of saltwater fish species, this lagoon system holds giant redfish, trout, bluefish, black drum, flounder and even tarpon.
Take a fishing charter led by one of our native guides in a quiet, electric skiff. This skiff can accommodate up to three adult anglers or a family of four (two adults and two children ages 12 and under).
We allow catch-and-release fishing on the private property in the lagoon. We also offer light tackle and fly fishing for the beginner to the most experienced of anglers. This trip is also great for families who want to spend the day together on the water.
If your interest is in the ocean waters, take an 18-and-a-half-foot custom Maverick out of Shelter Cove Marina, located across the street from Palmetto Dunes main entrance. Take a ride on a flat skiff large enough for four people to relax or cast their lines for trout, redfish, ladyfish, jack crevalle, cobia, tarpon and sharks - or king mackerel if the conditions are right.

Shelter Cove Marina Fishing Charters
Deep-sea chartered fishing excursions for game fish are available at Shelter Cove Marina. Fishing trips for kings, Spanish, barracuda, cobia, grouper, marlin and more are available in four- to 10-hour time blocks.

Party Fishing Trips
The Captain Hook is a 70-foot party fishing boat - the largest party fishing boat on Hilton Head Island. The Captain Hook has a full galley, enclosed cabin, shaded and seated fishing areas, restrooms and sun bathing on the upper deck.

Sport Crabbing on the Crabber J
Join the crabby crew on a sport-crabbing adventure. After the crabby crew unties, the boat motors out to the calm waters of Broad Creek. It anchors next to the salt marsh and everyone fishes for the cunning blue crab. It's all catch and release, but the crabby crew keeps score and whoever catches the most wins the world famous Crabber J T-shirt.
Offered April 2 through September 6. Trips are 1 hour 45 minutes. Rates are $20 for adults; $15 for children (ages 3-12); $5 for infants.
