Kayak & Canoe Rentals
Hilton Head Outfitters provides kayak and canoe rentals so you can get up close and personal with nature on a scenic ride through an 11 mile inland lagoon system. The calm waters of the lagoon at Palmetto Dunes make the perfect setting for a beginner all the way to experts kayaking in Hilton Head. View an assortment of wildlife or try catching a variety of fish, such as a sea trout or black drum. Upon your departure from Outfitters, you will be fitted with the proper size life jacket and given a map of the lagoon system. There are several routes from which you can choose, depending on the desired length of your adventure.
Single and tandem kayaks, as well as canoe rentals for two and three people are available at Hilton Head Outfitters situated right on the lagoon shores.
If you prefer to try your hand at paddling in the saltwater environment of Broad Creek, kayaks and canoes are also available for rent at Shelter Cove Marina.

Single Kayak
Single kayaks allow for your own solo navigation through our relaxing and beautiful lagoon. Single kayaks have a weight limit of 275 pounds and will accommodate one person. Rentals start from $19.99 for the first hour plus $10 for each additional hour.
Double Kayak
Tandem kayaks allow you to paddle in pairs and spend quality time enjoying nature and all the beauty the island has to offer. These kayaks are designed for two people and can accommodate up to 500 lbs. Rentals start from $39.99 for the first hour plus $10 for each additional hour.
Sit-On-Top Kayak
Sit-on-top kayaks are designed for one person and can be used either in the lagoon OR in the ocean. The paddler sits on the top deck with minimal constraints, allowing you more freedom of movement. These kayaks can accommodate up to 250 lbs.

Canoes
Two-Person Canoe
Double canoes are roomy and comfortable, perfect for a drift down the lagoon. They have ample space and are great for fishing. They can easily accommodate two people, plus fishing equipment with a weight limit of 1,225 lbs. Rentals start from $39.99 for the first hour plus $10 for each additional hour.
Three-Person Canoe
Triple canoes are the perfect solution for families or friends who want to explore together. These canoes can accommodate three adults and two small children plus fishing equipment. Triple canoes have a weight limit of 1,225 lbs. Rentals start from $49.99 for the first hour plus $10 for each additional hour.
