Hilton Head Outfitters offers professionally guided surf lessons and kids ocean experiences designed for confidence, safety, and fun on the water. Located at the private beaches of Palmetto Dunes on Hilton Head Island, our programs are led by experienced local watermen and tailored to meet kids where they are—whether it’s their first time in the ocean or they’re ready to build real surf skills.
Our Hilton Head surf lessons provide focused, skill-based instruction for kids who want to learn or improve their surfing. Lessons are offered in private or small-group formats and emphasize ocean safety, paddling, board control, and confidence in the waves. This option is ideal for beginners or returning surfers looking for personalized coaching and steady progression.
Kids Surf & Ocean Adventures are one-time, half-day experiences that blend surfing with ocean exploration and beach-based activities. Lasting approximately four hours, these adventures include surfing, paddling, water safety skills, and hands-on learning in a fun, supportive group setting. Boys-led and girls-led experiences allow instructors to tailor activities and build confidence through teamwork and play.
